What is the Epic Training Platform?

The Epic Training Platform is an education tool for Vail Resorts Travel Partners to increase knowledge of the Vail Resorts properties. The portal provides detailed information on each resort's brand, location, mountain terrain, dining opportunities, lodging options, entertainment and more!

How do I access the Training Platform?

The site can be located at: https://epictraining.vailresorts.com/. It is recommended to use Chrome when accessing the training platform. Once at the site, click “Register Now”. Follow the prompts on the page and fulfill the required information to create a personal login and password.

Can multiple people in our company create accounts?

Yes! Individual accounts for the same company can be made. We encourage all personnel from your company to create an individual account.

What are the benefits of this platform?

The Epic Training Platform provides detailed information on each mountain’s terrain, location, activities and more! The portal is a beneficial resource to reference resort information in order to cater the best experience possible for guests.

What do I do once logged into the Training Platform?

Once logged into the portal click “Dashboard” for an overview of content to review including Courses, Resorts and News. Select “View All Courses” from the Dashboard or the “Courses” tab to start learning about select destination resorts. Each resort has its own training course with a series of lessons including; Resort Overview with information on the mountain atmosphere, The Mountain providing terrain and acreage information, The Mountain Experience supplying information on mountain activities and dining opportunities, and finally, The Village Experience with information on village location, off mountain activities, dining, and special events. Once through the required material, the site will guide you to a resort quiz. Click “Take Quiz” and answer the prompted questions. Passing of the specified resort quiz will lead to your skier/snowboard icon getting closer to the top of the mountain. Master your resort knowledge and complete all of the Vail Resorts courses!

What is the “Resorts” Tab?

The resorts tab provides an overview of Vail Resorts' portfolio of global resorts. Visit the map view to see a visual representation, filter by region or click on a resort you want to learn more about. Included in each resort is information about mountain stats, and trail map.

What is the “Virtual FAMS” Tab?

Haven’t had an opportunity to visit our resorts or join on a FAM trip? You can take a Virtual FAM tour and learn about what the in resort experience is like. A series of videos from some of our destination resorts will cover travel to the resort, base areas, lodging, dining, and activities. This is another great way to learn about our resorts.

What is the “Resources” Tab?

The resources tab offers downloadable images, videos and documents for our Travel Partners use. These tools can be used to market Vail Resorts’ mountains to potential guests. The library is also filled with additional training information such as winter trail maps, summer trail maps, village maps, and webinars. Filter the assets by selecting Image, Video, or Document to narrow down the search by media.

What is the “Epic Passes” Tab?

The Epic Passes tab provides a review of our pass products including resort access, partner access, restricted dates and benefits. Each of the passes link back to the Epic Pass website for additional information.

What is the “News” Tab?

The news tab provides us the opportunity to keep you up-to-date on important company growth and changes. All the latest news, events, incentives and insight from the Training Platform can be found here. Under the News tab, there is a link to the Vail Resorts' Newsroom for the complete list of announcements.

What can we expect to see under the “Coming Soon” section in the “Courses” Tab?

The Training Platform will launch additional courses to expand knowledge on existing resort trainings and educate on our other resorts.
