Whether you are exploring Epic Discovery for the first time, heading up for some early morning fun before tackling an afternoon hike, or looking for some after-lunch activities, make the most of your summer adventure and explore both Peak 8 Base Camp & Alpine Camp.

Alpine Camp is located just steps off the top of Colorado SuperChair and is the heart of Epic Discovery's activities and adventures at Breck. Here you'll find an Interpretive Hiking Loop, complete with photos, fun facts, and interactive activities about your surroundings, Vista Point Overlook Tower to enjoy panoramic views of Breckenridge, the Alpineer Challenge Course, and the Gold Summit Climbing Wall.

Epic Discovery offers these activities to choose from: Alpine Slide, Alpineer Challenge Course, Bungee Trampoline, Gold Runner Coaster, Gold Summit Climbing Wall, Silver Summit Climbing Wall, Lil' Climber Ropes Course, Lil' Flyer Zip Line, Lil' Nugget Tubing, Gemstone Panning, and Mini Golf.

Choose your own adventure with 15 features including a log walk, rope swings, and more! This challenge course is integrated into the forest at Alpine Camp.

Race down the mountain on 2,500 feet of elevated roller coaster track as you enjoy a thrilling journey around and through the forest. Ride single or with a friend, managing your own speed through the hairpin curves and twists!

Get ready for the slide of your life! Choose between three exhilarating 2,600-foot-long slides.

Do you have what it takes to make it to the top? With options available from novice to advanced, it's family fun for all!

Silver: Explore the nooks and crannies of this 35-foot tall climbing wall designed with novice and beginner climbers in mind.

Gold: The 40-foot tall climbing wall offers 16 distinct routes to challenge all ability levels, from beginner to advanced climbers.

Located within Peak 8 Base Camp, this area offers a variety of activities geared towards younger guests who are just starting to climb, zip, or soar and explore in the mountains. Activities include Bungee Trampolines, Lil' Climber Rope Course, Lil' Nugget Tubing, and Lil' Flyer Zipline.

Enjoy 25 miles of Green, Blue, or Black Terrain Mountain-Bike specific trails at the resort.

Whether you're new to the sport of mountain biking or regularly rip up the singletrack around Colorado, Breckenridge's trails offer experiences perfect for anyone. Breck offers lessons for beginner and intermediate mountain bike skill levels daily. In from out of town? Rent a bike and ride the lift or scope out the trails around town.

Due to the amount of snow we receive during the winter, Breck's trails are typically ready to ride by mid-July, although conditions vary. Please call the resort to confirm if and when mountain biking trails and lessons are available.

Renting bikes from Breck Sports is a breeze with locations on the hill and in town, a professional staff, and a ton of great bikes to choose from. Rent a full suspension bike, a comfort cruiser, a junior bike, or a trailer and you'll get a helmet rental included.

Breck Sports offers Downhill and Full Suspension mountain bikes for riders who want to take it to the limit on the mountain. Choose from top mountain bike brands like Scott and Trek. Downhill and Full Suspension bikes are available from the Peak 8 Breck Sports location.

All bikes feature a comfortable, upright position, a wide saddle, and tires designed specifically for efficiency on pavement and traction on gravel. Both 8-speed and 24-speed versions are offered in these top-notch Trek bikes. An ideal bike for cruising bike paths and pulling a trailer.

For kids ages 4-12, Breck Sports offers smaller sized bikes with 16" wheels and single gears. The middle-sized bikes have 20" wheels and 6 rear gears. The larger kids' bikes have 24" wheels and 7 rear gears. Trek bikes are kept in inventory.
