Magic Meadow Yurt Dinner
The Magic Meadows Yurt Dinner provided by Crested Butte Nordic includes trail passes, equipment rentals, guides, a five-course dinner, live music, and libations. On the evening of the dinner, you will meet your guides at the Crested Butte Nordic Center who will help you select the proper cross-country ski or snowshoe equipment. Once at the trailhead, your guides will escort you to the Yurt, but the more adventurous are welcome to head out to the yurt on their own.
The trail is about a mile and is mostly level with a few rolling hills, taking about 30-45 minutes for beginner skiers and 15-20 minutes for skiers with a bit of experience. Once in the warmth of the Yurt, your guides will become your servers and offer you specialty cocktails from Crested Butte’s Montanya Distillery, wine selections, specialty non-alcoholic drinks, and beer from Elevation Beer Company. Live music, performed by local musicians, accompanies the meal which is prepared by Chef Josephine Kellet of Creative Catering. At the end of the night, your servers will guide you back to the trailhead.

Out on the trail, in the quiet of the backcountry and under a bluebird sky, you’ll see a different side of Crested Butte—possibly even sighting wildlife like elk, mule deer, bighorn sheep, and bald eagles.
You’ll also be treated to a campfire and a cup of hot cocoa.
