- Sacramento International Airport (SMF): Sacramento International Airport is about a 2-hour drive (115 miles / 185 kilometers) from Heavenly. While shuttle services are not available, car rentals allow travelers to enjoy a scenic drive to the resort. The Folsom Premium Outlet Mall is a convenient stop along the route for those looking to add some shopping to their journey.
- San Francisco International Airport (SFO): San Francisco International Airport, Oakland International Airport (OAK), and San Jose International Airport (SJC) are approximately a 3.5-hour drive from Heavenly. - California Base Areas:
- California Lodge: The California Lodge is Heavenly's original base area and remains popular among skiers of all levels. Located at the base of the famous Gunbarrel run, this area offers key services including ski school for children and adults, daycare, equipment rentals, retail shops, and casual dining options. Access to the mountain is available via the Gunbarrel Express or Aerial Tram.
- Heavenly Village: Heavenly Village is a central hub that offers access to both entertainment and skiing. It features high-quality lodging options, including Marriot properties and Zalanta Lodge, all within walking distance of the Heavenly Gondola. The Gondola provides access to the entire mountain, making it convenient for skiers of all abilities. The village also offers dining, entertainment, and casino options, making it an ideal location for travelers looking to be in the center of all the action.
- Nevada Base Areas: The Nevada Base Area includes Boulder Lodge and Stagecoach Lodge, which are often less crowded and a favorite among locals.
- Boulder Lodge: Boulder Lodge caters to skiers of all abilities and provides ski school, rentals, on-mountain dining, and free parking.
- Stagecoach Lodge: Stagecoach Lodge is more suited for intermediate and advanced skiers and offers rentals, dining, and parking, with convenient access to the mountain.
