Resort Overview

Whistler Blackcomb was built on an Olympic dream. Over 50 years ago, a group of visionaries led by Franz Wilhelmsen set out to create a mountain resort that could one day host the Winter Olympics. Although their initial bid for the 1968 Games was unsuccessful, their determination led to the creation of Whistler Mountain in 1966. Decades later, Whistler Blackcomb finally realized that Olympic dream by hosting part of the 2010 Winter Olympics, solidifying its place as a world-class resort.

Whistler Blackcomb is one of the largest and most iconic ski resorts in North America, offering an unmatched alpine experience. Located in British Columbia, Canada, Whistler Blackcomb comprises two side-by-side mountains, Whistler and Blackcomb, which are connected by the world-renowned PEAK 2 PEAK Gondola. With over 8,100 acres of terrain, 16 alpine bowls, three glaciers, and more than 200 marked trails, this resort is a paradise for all levels of skiers and snowboarders.
